Compassionate Psychotherapy & Counselling Rooted in Human Connection
“I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can arrive exactly as you are — without judgement, pressure or expectation.”
My Journey into Therapy
My path into psychotherapy began during my 17-year career within the NHS as a Registered General Nurse, where I worked closely with individuals and families during some of the most vulnerable and emotionally challenging moments of their lives.
Throughout my nursing career, I found myself naturally drawn towards roles centred around emotional wellbeing, connection, and deeper psychological support. In my most recent position as a Macmillan Breast Cancer Specialist Practitioner, I witnessed first-hand the profound impact that compassionate listening, emotional safety, and therapeutic support can have during times of uncertainty and change.
It was through this work that my passion for counselling and psychotherapy truly developed, leading me to retrain professionally as a qualified and accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor.
Today, I offer a calm, supportive, and confidential therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences openly, safely, and without judgement.
I work with clients both across the UK and internationally, supporting people from a wide range of cultural, ethnic and professional backgrounds. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the unique ways in which identity, culture, family history and life experience shape each person's story.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is integrative and relational, meaning I tailor each session to the individual rather than working in a rigid or one-size-fits-all way.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, relational and CBT-informed therapy, tailoring sessions thoughtfully to each individual and their unique needs.
At the heart of my work is the belief that every person deserves to feel heard, valued, and understood. Therapy offers a space to gently explore patterns, process emotions, build self-awareness, and create healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
My background in healthcare continues to deeply shape my work, bringing warmth, empathy, insight and respect for each individual's unique story and lived experience. I strive to create a safe, inclusive and non-judgemental space where people from all backgrounds feel heard, valued and understood.
Therapy may involve:
exploring patterns and relationships
understanding emotional responses
building greater self-awareness
strengthening boundaries
processing grief or trauma
improving communication and connection
developing emotional resilience
